On Monday evening, a sudden fire erupted in a residential building in al barsha, causing panic among the residents and leading to a rapid emergency response.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to khaleej times, the incident began with a loud sound that echoed through the building.’my wife and i were in the kitchen when we heard a big bang. we rushed to the living room to see what had happened. there was a huge hole in the wall and smoke coming out of it.’ We believed it was a lift malfunction. However, as soon as we entered the hallway, people were already in a hurry, running and shouting. That’s when we realized something was seriously wrong,’ he said.
Thick smoke rapidly spread, prompting numerous residents to evacuate urgently. Fire and civil defense personnel arrived at the scene shortly after the alarm was raised and started working to control the fire.
As of now, there have been no official reports regarding injuries or the precise cause of the fire. Law enforcement agencies are anticipated to initiate an investigation to ascertain the cause of the incident.
The building was temporarily sealed off as firefighters worked to secure the area and ensure the safety of all residents.
