Dubai’s Rhodes and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that all public parking areas across the city will be free in the Hijri New Year holiday on Friday, June 27.
Free parking applies to all surface-level public parking areas, with the exception of multi-level parking terminals, which continue to charge regular fees.
Normal parking tariffs will resume on Saturday, June 28, RTA confirmed in a statement released on Wednesday. Residents and visitors are encouraged to focus on changes and plan their travel and parking accordingly.
Hijri New Year, also known as Islamic New Year, marks the onset of the new Lunar Hijri calendar and is a public holiday in the UAE.
